ourdream.ai runs a separate anime girlfriend builder rather than just offering an anime filter. On its anime page we counted these claims: a 6-step creation wizard, 46 personality traits, 19 voices, 135 occupations and backstories up to 100,000 characters. Instead of picking a preset, you set traits such as stubbornness, warmth and emotional volatility, and the page walks through how combinations produce a tsundere, kuudere, dandere, yandere or genki character.
The other draw is media. ourdream says images cost 5 dreamcoins each and video comes in 8 modes, up to 60 seconds at 720p, which is rare for anime-style companions. It also advertises voice calls and a layered memory system with pinned memories and rules. Our ourdream.ai review has the plan details: a free start with 55 dreamcoins, then $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year, with 1,000 dreamcoins a month on paid plans.
Watch for: at 5 dreamcoins per picture, a picture-heavy habit uses the monthly allowance quicker than chatting does.
2. Candy AI: Cheapest Paid Option
Candy AI has its own anime section and an anime character category next to its realistic ones. Its anime page says your companion can send custom selfies and voice messages and follow photo requests, and you can design one yourself. The appeal is price: the annual plan is $47.88 ($3.99 a month) with unlimited chat and 100 tokens a month for pictures, voice and video. Watch for: 100 tokens a month doesn't stretch far if pictures are the point. The free tier is only a few messages.
3. CrushOn.AI: Big Library of Community Anime Characters
CrushOn.AI is built around characters its users write, and it has an Anime category for browsing them. That suits you if you'd rather start chatting with an existing anime-style character than design one. 4. Janitor AI: Free, Text-Only
Janitor AI's community library carries an Anime tag, and chatting on its own model costs nothing. What About an AI Waifu Generator?
“AI waifu generator” can mean an image tool that only draws pictures, or a companion app that also draws her. If you want her to stay recognisably the same across many pictures and talk back, a companion app is the better fit, because the character sheet you build feeds every picture.
