Nomi vs Kindroid: Which Memory-First Companion Should You Pick?
Last checked: October 25, 2026. Nomi prices from the US App Store; Kindroid prices and rules from its help centre. Sources are listed in our Nomi review and Kindroid review.
Short answer: Nomi is cheaper for a year ($99.99 vs $139.99 on Kindroid's web price) and lets you start free without a card. Kindroid gives more control over memory, voice and personality, but it has had no ongoing free tier since October 1, 2026, and deeper memory costs extra.

Memory: The Real Difference
Both apps sell themselves on remembering you. Nomi builds memory into the standard plan and markets it as the core feature. Kindroid's Standard plan includes longer short-term memory and its "Cascaded Memory", and its Ultra and MAX add-ons mainly buy more context. Standard plus Ultra comes to $38.98 a month on the web. If you'd pay for that, Kindroid offers more control. If not, Nomi is the simpler deal.
Trying Before You Pay
Nomi's free account is the easier test. Kindroid's 50-message preview disappears for good once you start a trial or subscription, and its trial converts to a paid plan unless you cancel. Kindroid emails a reminder a day before.
