Candy Shorts Explained: Free Episodes, Token Cost and the App Question
Checked October 27, 2026 on candyshorts.com and candy.ai while logged out, from a US connection. Episode token prices only show after sign-in, so those come from independent checks and are marked.
In one line: Candy Shorts is a library of short, phone-shaped AI video series made by the company behind Candy.ai. You watch the opening episodes of a series at no cost, then each later episode is unlocked with Premium plus tokens. It's adults-only, and it lives on the web, not in an app store.
This page is about the video series only. If you want the chat companion side of Candy.ai, its plans and what Premium does for chatting, read our Candy AI review and Candy AI pricing instead.
What We Saw on October 27
- Two front doors. The series sit on a standalone site, candyshorts.com, and inside Candy.ai under a Shorts section with genre filters. Same catalogue, same membership.
- Library size. The candyshorts.com home page linked to 173 distinct series pages when we counted. The site's own description promises new episodes every week, so expect that number to grow.
- Series length. Most series on Candy.ai's Shorts feed were labelled 5 episodes; at least one long-runner was labelled 35.
- Format. A tall 9:16 player built for phones, with play-speed settings from 0.5x to 2x and a subtitle switch. The site interface comes in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
- Billing name. The checkout box says the charge appears as “EverAI” on your bank statement, not as Candy Shorts. Worth knowing if you share a statement.
Which Episodes Are Free
On the 5-episode series we opened, episodes 1 and 2 were playable and episodes 3, 4 and 5 were marked with a paywall. That matches what independent trackers report across the library: the first two parts of a regular series cost nothing, and from part three you need a paid membership. Some testers were asked to make a free account before episode 2, so have an email ready. A handful of series are hidden behind sign-in entirely.

| Later episode, “Creators” series | 30 tokens | Reported by independent checks |
| Annual membership | $3.99 a month, billed $47.88 a year | Seen on candyshorts.com, Oct 27 |
| Quarterly membership | $8.99 a month, billed $26.97 every 3 months | Seen on candyshorts.com, Oct 27 |

Membership is the same Candy.ai Premium that unlocks chatting, and it comes with a monthly token allowance (100 tokens on the plans we've reviewed). Do the arithmetic before you binge: a 5-episode series has 3 locked parts, so finishing one costs 36 tokens, or 90 on a Creators series. A month's allowance therefore covers about eight regular episodes, and the same balance also pays for generated pictures and voice, so heavy Shorts viewing leaves less for chat extras. Independent testers report that an unlocked episode stays unlocked on your account.
Is There a Candy Shorts App?
No. A US App Store search for “Candy Shorts” and “Candy AI” on October 27 turned up no app from Candy's operator, only unrelated short-drama apps and look-alike names, and Candy.ai is web-only, which fits its adult content. Treat any store app using the name as unofficial. The official way to watch on a phone is the mobile browser. Candy.ai ships home-screen web-app icons, so you can use your browser's “Add to Home Screen” to get an app-style shortcut.
Candy AI Videos: Shorts vs Your Own Clips
People searching “Candy AI video” usually mean one of two different things:
- Candy Shorts are pre-made series with a story, written and produced by Candy. You watch; you don't direct.
- Generated video is a clip of the companion you created or chat with, made on request inside a chat. It also draws on your Premium tokens. Our Candy AI tokens guide covers how that balance is spent.
Both need Premium for anything beyond the free taste, and both pull from one shared token pot, which is the main thing to plan around.
Who It Suits
Candy Shorts makes sense if you already pay for Candy.ai Premium and want something to watch with leftover tokens, or if two free episodes hook you enough to pay $3.99 a month on the annual plan. It's poor value as a standalone streaming subscription if you'd want to finish many series a month, because tokens, not the membership, are the real limit. If chatting with a companion is what you're after, the review and pricing pages above are the better guide.
Candy Shorts is for adults 18+ only.
