Is Candy AI Worth It?

Short answer: yes, if you'll pay for a year and mostly chat. Candy AI's yearly plan is $47.88 ($3.99 a month), chat is unlimited on paid plans, and 100 tokens a month cover some images, video and voice. It's not worth it month to month for long ($13.99 after the first month), and it's not the best value if images and video are your main use. The gap is large: a year on the monthly plan costs over three times the yearly plan. If you're going to keep Candy, the yearly plan is what makes it good value.
What $47.88 Gets You
- Unlimited text chat on every paid plan. Chat never uses tokens.
- 100 tokens a month, credited on your renewal day, for generated images, video, voice features and paid content packs.
- Creating your own companion, plus image and video generation and Candy's Live Action feature.
Candy also describes a Premium Plus tier with 330 tokens a month, but it didn't show a price on the page we checked, so we can't say whether it's worth it.
When Candy AI Is Worth It
- You chat most days. Unmetered chat for $3.99 a month is the cheapest paid unlimited chat we've found among the apps we review.
- You want one customised companion rather than a library of community bots.
- You want some pictures, not hundreds a month. 100 tokens is a light allowance.
- You're comfortable paying up front for a year.
When It Isn't
- You only want to try it free. Candy's terms limit free users to about 5 messages in total. That's a glance, not a trial.
- Images and video are the main point. 100 tokens won't go far. ourdream.ai includes 1,000 dreamcoins a month for $119.88 a year (Candy AI vs ourdream.ai).
- You want a refund safety net. Candy only considers refunds requested within 24 hours, with 20 tokens or fewer used, on direct card payments (refund rules).
- You want free text roleplay with lots of bots. SpicyChat's or CrushOn's free tiers are better for that (SpicyChat review).

The Small Print Worth Knowing
- Tokens and cancelling: Candy's help center says leftover tokens stay on your account if you cancel; its Terms of Service say they expire at the end of the billing period. Spend them before your period ends (tokens explained).
- Cancelling: Settings / Unsubscribe in your account. Premium stays on until the period ends (how to cancel).
- Who runs it: EverAI Limited, registered in Malta. Its terms say it may ask users to verify they're adults and prohibit content resembling minors (Is Candy AI safe?).
Our Recommendation
Not sure? Pay $9.99 for the first month, use it daily, and switch to yearly only if you're keeping it; set a reminder before the $13.99 renewal. If you already know you want an AI companion for chat, the yearly plan at $47.88 is the best-value paid option we've checked. If you mainly want images, go straight to ourdream.ai.
